Blogger Cracks Down On Spam Blogs

Blogger is cracking down on spam blogs.

You’ve probably seen them if you use blogger and have dared to hit the “see the next blog” button.

They are blogs that are created by automation usually.

Their entries have no content and the blogs themselves link to only one website… the website trying to boost its search engine ranking by having a zillion back links pointing to it.

Blogger has implemented an automated screening system that locks down blogs automatically.

If a real human has created the blog, they can submit a form and have the blog (hopefully) unlocked.

I guess it all depends on whether the reviewer believes it is a spam blog.

So if you’re using blogger blogs to sell affiliate content, here’s my advice…

1. Aim to have a “real blog” with genuine content, not just keyword spam.

2. Blogger will lock down your blog before you can get too far… so make your blog look personal quickly. If you’ve ever seen a spam blog, they don’t have personal touches like… “here’s a picture of my parakeet”! or other things that show some personalization and attention to detail.

If it comes to getting Blogger to unlock your blog, these touches will make all the difference.

3. Outbound links to other pages (not just your affiliate link or back to just your blog home page) are important as well as content.

4. High priced adsense words like “Mesothelioma”, “mortgage”, etc. may be targeted as well because they’re so popular with blog spammers.

Niche markets may be less subject to these automated reviews, but you can never tell.

What’s been your experience?
