Don’t Believe The News

Isn’t it strange how we try to be wise about making business investment decisions but end up using faulty information?

Today, the newspapers tell us that Iraq is on the brink of Civil War.

If I were an Iraqi listening to the news, I’d hide all my money in a safe place instead of investing it in a business.

But the reality - from people who are “on the ground” there is that this “Civil War” is in the media’s imagination.

In other words’ it’s somebody’s propaganda.

Life goes on in Iraq… probably the most dangerous place is somewhere near a western reporter.

An atrocity seems more likely to be committed near a camera or microphone.

But otherwise life goes on.

Listen to the evening news too much and you’ll never be able to make a decision and you’ll always sit on the fence.
