I was at my county “Leadership Training” seminar yesterday.
I found out that folks owning rental property can go down to the county courthouse and run a free criminal background check on potential renters.
This background check only involves charges filed in our county though.
To do a national (NCIC) check, I’d have to go through the Sheriff’s department.
What wasn’t clear was the cost that service would incur.
If you have rental properties and aren’t doing anything now, performing a free check wouldn’t hurt in the age of meth’s ability to reduce your rental property value to zero almost instantly.

Is it free only for the county you live in? or all counties in every state in the US?

It’s a free resource for county residents and only covers this county.
You shouldbe able to find something similiar in your county.
