When introducting newbies to the computer, I routinely tell them… don’t worry there’s NO WAY you can destroy this thing just by clicking the keyboard.
Yesterday my wife got a frantic call from someone in the neighboring office.
“Look what I’ve done to my computer!”
When she went to inspect the damage, she asked “what did you do?”
“I only laid this folder on the key board for a second…”
The screenview on the computer is completely upside down and we have no idea how that happened or how to reverse it.
Even the mouse action is reversed…. one must move the mouse in a direction opposite of it’s normal path to get it to move in the direction you want!
I guess I’ll have to stop saying things like … “don’t worry, you can’t hurt this thing by just typing on the keyboard”.
Any idea what went wrong?

Yeah I think I know what happened. Some nVidia video drivers have a “feature” that inverts the screen (both x and y axis) by holding Ctrl-Shift-R. To toggle this just use that key combination.

Thanks Brent, you’re a gentleman and a scholar. I do believe this has NVidia on it.

Sadly Brent’s idea didn’t work…
Any other thoughts?
