How To Get Free Lists Of New Homeowners, etc.

Contemplating your own version of “Welcome Wagon”?

You’ll need to know who the new homeowners or new residents are in the area you serve.

Sometimes those lists are costly enough that they eat the profit right out of your idea!

That’s no problem when the list is free… or just the price of a library card.

Marcia Yudkin on sowpub offered this FREE solution!

In addition to being a marketing consultant, I’m town librarian for my town of 920 people.

In the latter capacity, I was amazed to learn recently that InfoUSA.com has another web site called ReferenceUSA.com. Many large metropolitan libraries license this web site for their patrons so that anyone who has a library card can come into the library and use the very same database of new homeowners or whatever for free.

There is a limit of downloading 50 names at a time, but you can use the service as many times as you want.

So, call your library’s reference department and find out which local library subscribes to this service.

It can save you hundreds or thousands of dollars every year.

Happy holidays,
Marcia Yudkin
