Need Premiums To Boost Sales?

December 5, 2005 by Chuck | 0 Comments

Sometimes, people need a “premium” thrown in to “seal the deal”.

It’s not logical really. The biggest premium I ever heard of was a free Ford Mustang given when you purchased a Rolls Royce… urban legend or no, you get the idea.

It’s not that logical because you can only drive one car at a time and if you like the Rolls, why are you driving the Mustang?

But premiums work.

They allow you to sell at full price.

The nominal or perceived value of the premium is great enough to “tip the scales” so that your customer feels you’ve made a great offer.

And, if you choose your preimium wisely, your profits are significantly more than if you’d entered a discount war.

Premiums also can be used to boost the average sales ticket.

“Buy $50 of this fragrance and get a free porcelain style doll”… it worked for me when Christmas.

If you’re looking for inexpensive premiums to give in your business, you might try searching the net. Here’s one I found… Twenty Destinations.
