I need an Extreme Sales Makeover

November 23, 2005 by Chuck | 0 Comments

As I’ve been telling some of my friends, I’m engaging in a new venture for 2006.

I’m going to start working more with local businesses to help them get ahead of the Local Search trend that MSN, Yahoo, and Google are investing big money in…I’ll be working with the Scoop Network showing small business/home business folks how to tap into this market. And I’ll be my own biggest Guinea Pig.

I’ve decided I need an “Extreme Sales Makeover” to do a good job at this.

Maybe you’ve got “call reluctance” too.

Since there’s no TV show willing to invest big bucks in giving me a sales makeover and the Apprentice show hasn’t called yet, I decided to do this myself.

While trying to mentor some others as they help local businesses, I’m going to work on me, too.

I’ve recruited the help of a grizzled sales veteran who’s helped over 400 sales organizations get up and running from New York to Texas.

He’s a local gem I uncovered.

While people tell him he needs to write a book, he’s never done it.

I’ve struck the mother load so to speak.

I’m going to pick his brain as I do this and when I uncover gems of wisdom, I’ll share them.

He’s a private guy, so I’ll call him “SalesWarrior” on the blog. You’ll see a gem from him today.

How are you tooling up for 2006?
