ran across this story in the news from Holland Michigan. 11 year old entrepreneur, Clif Reed, was repairing bicycles and reselling them from his yard. But that drew the ire of the neighborhood and alas.. the long arm of the city law is stepping in. They aren’t forcing him out of business. But they are forcing him to purchase what is called a “Home-Based Business License” in this Michigan city.
At least they didn’t bring in a SWAT team… maybe next time.
We can’t have these home business people making money without the blessing of unproductive and envious neighbors.
