Local Leadership = Local Prospecting

How do you position your home based business locally?

Perhaps you don’ t if you’re just marketing online.

But being the cautious sort, I don’t like to have all my eggs in the online basket.

So when the opportunity to participate in my county’s annual “leadership development” class came along, I jumped at the opportunity.

Such classes are normally sponsored by the local Chamber of Commerce in your community.

They attempt to identify future county or local leaders and give them the “inside scoop” on what’s going on in the community.

It also attempts to build relationships among future business leaders in the community.

If you want to help your community, find new prospects for your products and services, and position yourself as a leader, these opportunities are ideal.

They’re probably most easily accessed in smaller towns and rural areas where you’re more likely to know a potential “sponsor”.

The price may be high. While other counties in my region charge only about $100 to attend monthly for a year, my county charges $600! Ouch.

I’ll let you know how it goes.
