Given the way cell phones seem to accumulate, it’s worth seeing if any of those old phones around your place are worth money.
Here’s a quick and dirty model of a making some money from helping people recycle cell phones.
I’ve had some folks collect almost a dozen phones for $5 each from their friends. The recycling company pays for the shipping container and postage.
The hardest part is getting people to put the phones in the box and send it back by mail!
Many people will give you their old phones, especially if you’re working in conjunction with a charity.
I’ve even gotten perfectly good phone battery charger cables for free too when people “dropped off their junk”.
This would be especially good for a young person!
